1. Who we are

This website is operated by Sprach Institut-Cebu (“the school”, “we”, “us”), an accredited German language school in Cebu, Philippines. We are the personal information controller for the information collected through this website.

We handle personal information in line with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules.

2. What we collect

When you use the enquiry form on our Contact page, we collect:

• your full name and email address;
• your mobile number (optional);
• the German level you are interested in; and
• the message you write to us.

If you contact us by email, phone, Facebook, Instagram or X, we receive the details you share in that conversation.

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and reliability.

Please do not send sensitive information (such as government ID numbers or payment details) through the enquiry form.

3. Why we use your information

We use your information to:

• reply to your enquiry;
• help you choose the right German level;
• send you current schedules, fees and enrolment details you asked about; and
• keep the website secure and working properly.

We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting us.

4. Who processes your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help run this website, and where the law requires it:

• Formspree receives form submissions and forwards them to our email. It is based outside the Philippines, so your information may be processed abroad.
• Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website.
• Google supplies the fonts used on this site and the embedded map on the Contact page. When these load, your browser connects to Google and shares technical data such as your IP address.

Links to Facebook, Instagram and X take you to those platforms, which have their own privacy policies.

5. Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across sites. The embedded Google Map may set its own cookies or similar technologies when it loads. If we add analytics or other tools in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting enrolment, and for as long as the law requires. After that we delete or anonymise them.

7. How we protect it

We use reasonable organisational, physical and technical safeguards, including HTTPS, to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No online method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:

• be informed about how your data is processed;
• access the personal information we hold about you;
• object to processing or withdraw your consent;
• correct inaccurate information;
• request erasure or blocking of your data;
• data portability, where applicable;
• claim damages for any violation of your rights; and
• lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).

9. Children

Our enquiry form is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us on your behalf.
